Something else fun that Carter and I have started doing together is our Monday night date night! This gives Jason an excuse to leave work early and spend some one on one time with Grady, and I get some one on one time with Carter. We go out to dinner and then I take him to KinderDance! Yes, you read it right, KinderDance. It's not really dance but more like gym class. It's in the 3 year old class where they they get tap shoes!!!! The 2 year old class that Carter is in consists of stretching, singing songs, learning colors and numbers, etc. Carter seems to really like it, AND it's in the same building as the fire trucks. He knows that after class he gets to visit the fire trucks. AND if he's really lucky, the firemen might be there and let him pretend-drive the truck! I also think Carter likes dance class because he's the only boy in the class. I think it's so cute! Please don't judge. This is as close as I will ever get to being a "Dance Mom"!
After the New Year, our Monday night date nights will be moved to Tuesday nights, for Carter will be starting soccer with a program called Soccer Shots. I kind of think Jason allowed me to do the dance thing with C knowing that he will then move onto soccer! I will let you know how the soccer thing goes, but I think we can all predict Carter's future in soccer. Do you remember THIS VIDEO?

The website suggests date night ideas for moms and sons. So cute! Because I don't want to forget about my mom friends who are "Girl Moms" they also suggest ideas for mother-daughter date nights!!
My brother took dance lessons for 5 years and look at what a great athlete he was! Carter will thank you later and develop a love the arts too.
